Clanrye Group launches Work Start

Launch of the Work Start programme

Clanrye Group is delighted to launch a new employability programme called Work Start for individuals across the Newry, Mourne and Down Council area who are unemployed and who are ready to start work. Support is also provided for people who are currently employed and who wish to upskill. 

This programme which is funded by the Department for the Communities and is managed via the Newry, Mourne and Down (NMD) Labour Market Partnership (LMP) focuses on small group workshops and 1:1 support and will be delivered both online and in person. 

In a digital era, the support offered will ensure that those who aren’t confident online gain the skills they need for basic IT functions i.e. completing a CV, job search online, online application forms and even creating a LinkedIn profile. Also offered are a variety of workshops and sessions to help individuals with their confidence, communication and interview preparation which can be a significant barrier for lots of people who want and need a job.   

Speaking about the new programme, Liam Devine – CEO of Clanrye Group said:
