Employ Me is an employability project providing training, employment and wraparound support for economically inactive people aged 16+ to reduce job related barriers, develop skills, achieve qualifications, enhance employability and quality of life with a view to progressing to employment/self-employment.

Clanrye Group is working in partnership with Southern Regional College, Community Advice Newry Mourne and Down, and Women’s Aid Armagh Down to deliver Employ Me.

What qualifications can I receive?

We offer qualifications from Entry Level up to Level 2. The following qualifications are available on the Employ Me programme. (Note: Some of these qualifications will be delivered by Southern Regional College*)

What employment support will I receive?

Following an initial assessment with a Career Mentor, a bespoke personal plan will be developed to help guide you through your journey to employment. Support on offer will include:

  • CV Building
  • Interview Skills 
  • Job Searching
  • Mock Interview
  • Job Application Support

In-employment support

A range of personalised support services can be availed of to help you sustain your employment for the first six months. This includes:

  • 1 to 1 support
  • Counselling
  • Skills targeted courses
  • Health and wellbeing activities

Additional Health and Wellbeing Support available:

Employ Me helps participants to improve their health and lifestyle to allow them to get ready for employment, and to sustain a work-life balance. The type of support includes, and is not limited to:

  • Health & Wellbeing Workshops
  • Community Engagement 
  • Counselling 
  • Financial Guidance and Workshops provided by Community Advice NMD
  • Signposting 

Specialist Support

Specialist Support will be available for participants who require it, and this will be available under four areas. Please note, individuals can receive support across all four areas if required.

Disability Support

  • Distance support
  • Disability specialist expertise
  • DDA legislation

Women Returners

  • Personal goal setting 
  • Phased approach
  • Developing support network for individuals
  • Flexible learning/engagement with distance support

  • Partnership with external agencies/ advocacy/ early intervention
  • Relationship building
  • Rehabilitation support
  • Tailored support eg addiction, ACE
  • Family support / interventions

Aged 50+

  • Accessible /easy to navigate targeted support
  • Bespoke life and employment support
  • Retraining opportunities
  • Supporting employers to recognise skill set and experience
